Transit or SkyTrain

SFU Surrey is convenient to public transit! The campus is located in the Central City complex at 13450 102 Avenue, just south of the Surrey Central SkyTrain station (just look for the large office tower). Walk across the plaza to the Central City entrance and then up the stairs to the main campus entrance.

Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff also have the opportunity to take advantage of the Employer Pass Program for transit for reduced monthly fare cards. Contact your Association or Union office or website for details.

Students
All eligible SFU students are issued the U-Pass for unlimited, all zone access to public transit on the TransLink systems throughout the Metro Vancouver.

The U-Pass Program is a student initiative approved by student vote in Simon Fraser Student Society referendums in November 2002, March 2005, and November 2007. The program is mandatory for all eligible SFU students and provides unlimited, all zone access to public transit in Metro Vancouver (the GVRD) at approximately one-third to one-fifth the cost of a regular monthly transit pass. Once you have your U-Pass, you will not have to pay any additional fares and you will have unlimited access to TransLink Bus (including Community Shuttles and West Vancouver Blue Buses), SkyTrain and SeaBus services (all zones), a discount on a one-way fare, a return trip fare, a weekly ticket, or a 28-day ticket on the West Coast Express. Your U-Pass can be replaced with a current card each term in which you are an eligible enrolled student at SFU.

Directions From SFU Burnaby

By Transit

1. Take the 145 Production Way bus to the Production Way/University SkyTrain station.
2. Ride the Millennium line SkyTrain west to Columbia Station.
3. Transfer to the Expo Line, heading east (take the train marked "King George".)
4. Disembark at the Surrey Central station. SFU Surrey is located in Central City (look for the large office tower to the south of the station).

By Car

We encourage you to take transit to SFU Surrey. If you must drive, follow these directions.

1. Head down the hill on Gaglardi
2. After you cross the Lougheed Highway, turn LEFT onto Cariboo and go up the hill to Tenth
3. Turn RIGHT on Tenth, then LEFT on McBride (to the Patullo Bridge)
4. Cross the Patullo Bridge and go up King George Highway
5. Central City will be on your right between 102 and 100 Avenue. Turn right on 102 Avenue, left on Whalley Ring Road, and left into the parking complex.

Directions From Vancouver

By Transit

Transit is the easiest way to get to SFU Surrey from Vancouver, as the campus is located on the Expo line, 45 minutes away from Waterfront Station. Disembark at the Surrey Central station. SFU Surrey is located in Central City (look for the large office tower to the south of the station).

By Car

We encourage you to take transit to SFU Surrey. If you must drive, follow these directions.

1. Get onto Hastings Street and drive east
2. Remain on Hastings through East Vancouver and turn RIGHT onto the Highway 1 eastbound ramp
3. Continue on Highway 1 and cross over the Port Mann Bridge
4. Take exit number 48 shortly after the bridge (108th Avenue/152nd Street exit)
5. Keep right on the off ramp and merge onto 152nd Street southbound
6. Drive past the 108th Avenue turnoff and continue up to the 104th Avenue intersection
7. Turn right on 104th Avenue and continue westbound to King George Highway
8. Turn left on King George Highway and continue southbound.
9. Turn right on 102 Avenue, left on Whalley Ring Road, and left into the parking complex. Park on level 5.

Directions from the Fraser Valley

1. Find Highway 1 and head west
2. Take exit number 50 (104th Avenue), keeping left on the off ramp
3. Follow the off ramp over the bridge and merge into 104th Avenue
4. Continue on 104th Avenue westbound to King George Highway
5. Turn LEFT on King George Highway
6. Turn right on 102 Avenue, left on Whalley Ring Road, and left into the parking complex. Park on level 5.
